Thank you Liz. I do hope you will read it. Ellis is complex and flawed and I enjoyed writing him. As for the gold, that was just how they marketed the competition. The value was actually the child’s weight in shiny pound coins – the company borrowed nearly a thousand of them from the bank just for the photo shoot.

Hi Jill, Thank you so much for featuring my book on your wonderful blog.
You are right about that competition. I rarely enter such things and never win anything, so that was a one-off, and something I’ve told very few people about. It was run by a large supermarket chain in conjunction with a popular baby food brand. A great experience for myself and my baby son, who loved posing for the cameras. He’s all grown up now and sadly doesn’t remember the experience, but I do…vividly.
